When I looked up how to make it online, everyone said to use milk with the eggs, but that's not how my mom makes it. She just mixes some eggs up, dips the bread in, and cooks it in a greased pan. The last time I made it, I cut the bread into bite-sized pieces, soaked them in the egg for a few seconds, and then poured it all in the pan. It ended up being mostly french toast with some scrambled egg. That's how they cooked it when my dad was in the Army. So all you need is a greased (butter or pam) pan, bread, eggs, something to mix the eggs in, and something to stir them in the pan.

What you will need, some things are optional:

Bread (any kind)
Two Eggs(Pasteurized)
One cup of Milk (1-2%)
One tsp. of Sugar (optional)
Whole butter or whatever is fine
Vanilla or Imitation (two tsp. or tbsp.)
Ground Cinnamon

Beat eggs lightly in a bowl wide enough to fit the bread into it, and then add the sugar, milk and vanilla and mix again.
Heat your skillet(pan) on med-heat,and coat it with a thin layer of butter. Place one slice of bread in the egg/milk mixture, one at a time turning to make sure both sides are coated evenly in the mixture.Don't leave them into the bowl or they will get soggy have a place for them to sit while waiting to be cooked.
Transfer a slice of bread or two,how many you cant fit onto the pan until one side gets browned, then turn to the other side, have a seperate plate ready to for the cooked ones to prevent cross-contamination.

Once they are all done, spread a thin layer of butter on top,and then some maple syrup or whatever kind you like, and some ground cinnamon, serve with bacon or just eat plain.

Crack an egg in a bowl, add about a 1/4 c. milk. Mix together. Add a 1 t. of vanilla and 1 t. of cinnamon. Dip the bread in it (both sides) and cook on a hot griddle. Very easy and very delicious. If you want you can omit the vanilla and cinnamon, but I think it gives it xtra flavor.

Crack 1-2 eggs in a bowl/plate. Take 2 pieces of bread, preferably white, and drench it in the raw egg. Place on a oiled frying pan. Flip when it is tan/brown. Do the same on both sides. When finished, put it on a plate and put on cinnamon, powdered sugar, butter, maple syrup, or berries on top. Enjoy!!!

Here is my recipe for french toast:

serves 3:
6 pieces of bread
two eggs
1 cup of milk
1 1/2 tablespoons of cinnimon

Mix eggs and milk in a bowl.
Then mix in the cinnimon.
Then pour onto a plate with sloped sides (so it doesn't pour out)
Lay a piece of bread in the mixture
Flip it over
Make sure both sides are covered with mixture
place in skillet until there is no more liquid in the skillet or bread

Set the stove to medium

Take 2 eggs and crack them and put in bowl and add 2 tablespoons of mild or water . whisk. Dip 2 slices of white bread into mixture one at a time. then get your frying pan or electric pan hot and drop into pan . Turn when lightlly brown to the other side. if you want a fancier and more delicious recipe. spread cream cheese on top of the toast then take out and place on dish then add fresh or frozen berries to the top and then whipped cream on that . Enjoy .
